Information/Error Messages
This screen is generated when the software encounters errors that prevent processing or to alert the operator that some follow up may be required.
Examples include:
•Contract Originals:
When a contract is first completed, a copy of the original contract is saved and can be reproduced, as well as a copy of the most recently updated version of the contract.
This error report is triggered if the option to Reprint Original Copy is selected in Print Contracts for an old contract that has no original contract saved.
The contracts numbers and customer names are listed.
•Rate Update Date Issue:
This report is triggered when rates are to be changed from Rate Increase/Decrease Utility if any future dated rental or meter rates already exist for a product or Group in the update queue.
After acknowledging this information screen, the option is provided to clear any future dates Effective By dates before the rate update process can be completed.
•Deleting Contract with Associated P.O.:
This report is triggered a contract is deleted using Delete A Single Contract and that contract has generated a Purchase Order to order any sales products, re-rental equipment, or services.
The message screen lists the P.O. number, the sequence number of the transaction on the P.O., the product number and quantity ordered.

•Vertex Tax Error:
With Vertex tax software, this window helps to explain when the tax area cannot be determined.
Usually either too many tax rates apply, possibly due to the address being too vague to define and exact region, or there is no match because the address information is not valid (i.e. zip code does not match state).
Either way the address information must be corrected to determine the correct tax area.
ACTIONS:
Additional actions provided by buttons on the Information/Error Message screen include:
•Print Error Report:
Click the PRINT button to print a copy of the error report for follow-up.
A printer can be selected from the Printer option located on the menu bar at the top of the screen.
