Operators

System Maintenance Menu -> Configure System Settings -> Security Tab -> General Settings -> Operators

Operator codes control security, functionality, and identification for individual users.
An operator must be assigned a Security Role that allows permission to the Security - Operators in order to access this table.

This table lists all operators across all divisions that have been tagged with the same System ID.

Note: When the external 'Authentication' feature is enabled in the Texada Support Parameters this "Operators" processing is disabled and the operator is redirected the to the User Management Menu on Texada Web.

The information and actions include:

SYSTEM ID

The System ID defaults to the operator currently signed into the session and the Name and email address are displayed.

Each user is automatically assigned a unique 'System ID' that can link the same user across divisions.
Enter the System ID or enter the Operator Code if that code has only been used by a single 'System ID', or use the Operator Search window to view and search for operator records by name, code or by email address.

If the System ID match has multiple operator records with different email addresses the Multiple Email Addresses Found screen is triggered to select a single address for all operators with the same System ID.

NAME

The operator name is displayed for reference.
Names (descriptions) for the same operator can vary across divisions for the same System ID.

EMAIL

The email address is displayed for reference.
The same email address is assigned to all operators with the same System ID even thought the Names may be different.

If the System ID match has multiple operator records with different email addresses the Multiple Email Addresses Found screen is triggered to select a single address for all operators with this System ID.

Operator Record List for the System ID:
The resulting list of Operators displays the division, operator code, division name, disabled flag, operator name and email address for each record across divisions.

The record list can be resorted by any column in ascending or descending order, by clicking on the column heading.
Columns can also be dragged and dropped to temporarily reposition them as required.

Double click on an operator record to drill down to the Operator Codes details.

Security:

To select and view the details of an operator record in Operator Codes, the signed in operator must have a corresponding System ID operator code at the same Division as the target operator, that has Security Role permission to access the Security - Operators.

The Operator Security Report can be used to export a list of all operators with their security roles and their current SRM access information to a spreadsheet.
