Product Search

Search window -> Product # field -> Product Search

This is a simple product look-up search that does not check for or return inventory quantities, and requires far less filters than the more detailed Inventory Search.
 It is used for specific restricted inventory searches such as:

•Purchase Orders details from the Our Product # window, from the Quick Equipment Search option

•Manufacturing Receiving where only matches for sales products that have been setup with a Bill of Materials component list are returned for a Manufacturing run

•Customer Exchanges where only matches for products that are out for a specific customer are returned for the Old Product number

The prompts to utilize this restricted product search window include:

PRODUCT TYPE

If the type of product has not already been defined, select one of:

•Select Rental to search for rental equipment items.

•Select Sale to search for parts or sales merchandise.

DESCRIPTION

Enter the first few characters of the product description

Search Results:
 The resulting list of product matches display with the product number, description, and alternate language description.
 This list could be restricted to specific product eligibility depending on the filters controlled by the program and input field for which the search was requested, such as in Manufacturing Receiving or in Customer Exchanges.

The document list can be resorted by any column in ascending or descending order, by clicking on the column heading.
 Columns can also be dragged and dropped to temporarily reposition them as required.

To select a value from the displayed list, double-click on the appropriate record, or highlight the record and click the SELECT button.
