Change Depreciation Class On Tag By Cost

** This utility is under development and is not yet available. **

This utility can be used to quickly change the Depreciation Class assigned to all Fixed Asset Tags in the Product Class range selected, according to an Original Cost Each range. Either the standard or the alternate depreciation class can be updated.
 This is helpful, if the wrong Depreciation Class was entered on the equipment, and the Depreciation Class needs to be changed based on Original Cost each.

For example, in Canada, all equipment over $200 each is assigned a different Depreciation Class, than equipment under $200.

The prompts are:

FROM PRODUCT CLASS

Enter the starting Product Class. Only rental items are affected.

TO PRODUCT CLASS

Enter the ending Product Class.

FROM ORIG COST EACH

Press <ENTER> for zero or type in a lower limit for original cost each.

TO ORIG COST EACH

Type in the upper limit for original cost each to be used to select the products.

NEW DEPRECIATION CLASS

Type in the New Depreciation Class. This must have already been setup in Depreciation Classes. All rental products in the Product Class Range and cost range selected will have the new Depreciation Class assigned to their Fixed Asset Tags.

UPDATE STANDARD OR ALTERNATE DEPRECIATION

Type S to change the Standard depreciation class on the tag only.
 Type A to change the Alternate depreciation class only.

ACCEPT OR / CANCEL

Press Y (YES) to proceed or / to cancel.
