Rate Book Categories

System Maintenance Menu -> Configure System Settings -> Operations Tab -> Rental Rates & Pricing -> Ratebook Category

Ratebook Categories are not required by the standard rate books, but they can be used by to customize Ratebooks by using a Group category when printing the Rate Book.
 

An operator must be assigned a Security Role that allows permission to the Operations - Ratebook Categories in order to access this table.

The Ratebook Categories table is populated by the Rental Product Class numbers and descriptions.
 Additional categories can be added, and descriptions can be modified.
 Categories cannot be deleted from this table if they have been assigned to a Group in the Rental Information window.

ACTIONS:
 Additional actions provided by buttons on the Ratebook Categories screen include:

•Delete a Category:
 To delete an existing category, click the DELETE button to access the list of categories not in use and eligible for deletion.
 Click on the record to be deleted to highlight it in focus and click the DELETE button.
