Delivery and Pickup Pricing Codes

System Maintenance Menu -> Configure System Settings -> Accounting tab -> Accounts Receivable -> Service Codes -> PRICE CODES button -> Delivery and Pickup Pricing Codes

This window can be used to setup special Delivery/Pickup rates by code that can then be assigned to individual customers in Customer Information, to override the standard Delivery/Pickup rates.
 Only Service Codes flagged to Include in Delivery/Pickup Price Codes can be used in this special pricing table.

Delivery/Pickup Codes do not change the service code used on the document to bill delivery or pickup, but they can control the rates charged to preferred customers.

Note: A Rewards Program can not be assigned to a customer if the customer has already been assigned any rental or sale discount percents, trade discount percents, discount plans, special pricing, special rates codes, tiered prices or rates, loyalty plan or delivery/pickup billing code.
 The fields are disabled if a customer has already been assigned a Rewards Code in the Customer Codes window.

SEQ

The sequence number tracks the records in this table.

PRICE CODE

Enter a code to represent a list of special Delivery/Pickup rates defined for selected Service Codes.
 This is the code that can be assigned to specific customers, so that all Delivery/Pickup rates for this code override standard rates for those customers.

DESCRIPTION

Enter a description to identify this Delivery/Pickup price code.

DETAILS

A window is provided to maintain the list of Delivery/Pickup service codes and special rates, as follows:

SEQ

The sequence number tracks the records in this table.
 Multiple Delivery/Pickup service codes can be included in the list for each Price Code.

SERVICE CODE

Enter a service code for Delivery/Pickup or select one from the Service Search window.
 Only service codes that have been flagged to Include in Delivery/Pickup Price Codes in Service Codes are eligible for use in this Delivery/Pickup billing.

DESCRIPTION

This is the service code description as defined in Service Codes.

AMOUNT

Enter the amount to be charged to customers that are assigned this Price Code for this Delivery/Pickup service code.
 This rate over-rides any standard or divisional rates for this code.

Note: This rate could be a flat rate for Delivery/Pickup, or could be the rate per quantity, depending on the Prompt for Quantity flag in the corresponding Service Codes.

Click ACCEPT to accept the list of services and the special rates, or CANCEL to abort.

Note: When Delivery/Pickup Codes are assigned to a customer, the Group Delivery/Pickup Rates processing is disabled for that customer.

ACTIONS:
 Additional actions provided by buttons on the Delivery/Pickup Price Codes screen include:

•Delete a Price Code:
 Click on the DELETE button and enter the Price Code to be deleted from this table.
 A warning is generated if this Price Code is currently in use.
 Confirmation is required.
