Disposal Reason Codes

System Maintenance Menu -> Configure System Settings -> Operations Tab -> Inventory -> Disposal Reason Codes

A reason code can be associated with the disposal or sale of rental equipment, at the time the equipment is sold on an invoice.
 This reason code is posted to the Fixed Asset Tags for non-bulk equipment in Daily Close 2, and to the Allocate Bulk Disposal utility for bulk equipment.
 The Disposal Reason is reported on the Disposal Transaction Report.

An operator must be assigned a Security Role that allows permission to the Operations - Disposal Reason Codes in order to access this table.

The prompts to set up the Disposal Reason Codes are:

SEQ

The sequence number tracks the code records in the file.

CODE

Enter the Disposal Reason Code of up to 5 alpha-numeric characters.

DESCRIPTION

Enter the comment for this code as it should be printed on the Disposal Transactions, using up to a 30 character maximum.

Note: The comment only prints on the W.O. for non-bulk rental equipment if the Warranty Type Code is assigned in the corresponding Fixed Asset Tags.

Click OK to exit when the list of codes is complete.

ACTIONS:
 Additional actions provided by buttons on the Disposal Reason Codes screen include:

•Delete a Disposal Reason:
 Click on the sequence number for the reason code to be deleted and then click the DELETE button.
 Confirmation is required.
