Export/Import Group Delivery Info for Descartes

Utilities Menu -> Data Export/Import Utilities -> Export/Import Group Delivery Info for Descartes

This utility can be used to update the Delivery measurement information in Groups that is required for the WinRoute and On Demand software that can be activated the Logistics tab of the Software Integration.

The action flow includes:

Select one of the following actions:

•Create Worksheet:
 Click Export option in the radio group to generate a spreadsheet with the existing delivery values for all Groups including Group# (cannot be changed), Group Name (cannot be changed), Length, Width, Height, Weight and Cubes.
 Confirmation is required to export.
 Make changes to the measurement information on the resulting spreadsheet and save the completed data to a tab-delimited text file.

•Move the Saved Text File to the Server:
 Click Upload File to copy the tab-delimited text file created from the saved Group Delivery Info Export from your client machine to the data directory on the server in preparation for importing.
 The Select a File to Upload utility is used to search for the file and to rename it to "group_dlv_info.txt" before completing the upload.
 File upload success is confirmed.

•Update the Groups with the new Measurement Values:
 Click Import to clear the information for each group in the text file and to repopulate the fields with the new values.
 Existing data will be replaced with the new values including any blanks.
 A spreadsheet will be generated displaying successful records and records with errors.
 Confirmation is required to update Groups with the new measurement data.

•Exit 'Export/Import Group Deliver Info' sub-menu:
 Click Cancel when no further action is required.

Click OK to initiate the action selected in the radio group.
