Maintain Fuel Types

Utilities Menu -> Inventory Control -> Maintain Fuel Types

This utility can be used to manage the Fuel Types assigned to Rental and Sales Products updating the Product Fuel Types window.
 Fuel Types are used by 'Texada Web to capture Fuel amounts used on the Delivery/Pickups, as logged on the Inspection Tickets or on the In-Yard Returns.
 The fuel usage can then be billed on the Rental Return, to the associated Service or Sales Part assigned in the Fuel Types table.

Fuel types can also be used find a product in the Inventory Search window using a 'Fuel Type' filter.

The prompts in this utility include:

CLASS

At least one of the Class, Group or Vendor filters must be utilized.
 To use the Class filter, enter the Rental or Sales Product Class, or select it from the Product Class Search window.

GROUP

At least one of the Class, Group or Vendor filters must be utilized.
 To use the Group filter, enter the product Group, or select it from the Group Search window.

VENDOR

At least one of the Class, Group or Vendor filters must be utilized.
 To use the Vendor filter, enter the Vendor number, or select it from the Vendor Search window.

Make/Model Filters

Once the product selection has been determined by Class, Group, and/or Vendor, the list can be filtered further by a specific Make and/or Model of equipment.
 This allows a very specific group of products to be updated by Fuel Type and Tank Capacity.

MAKE

To use the optional Make filter, enter the Make number or select it from the drop-down box.
 Only Makes that have been assigned to products in this Class/Group/Vendor selection list are included in the drop-down.

MODEL

To use the optional Model filter, enter the Model number or select it from the drop-down box.
 Only Models that have been assigned to products in this Class/Group/Vendor selection list are included in the drop-down.

Resulting Product List:

The resulting sales and rental products are listed in product number order with description and any existing Fuel Codes with the Capacity of each.
 

•Update Individual Products:
 A window is provided in the 'Fuel' column to access the Product Fuel Types for that product to provide the ability to add, change, or deleted Fuel Type records.

•Update Products by Batch:
 To update the products on the screen as a batch, click the SET button and proceed as follows:

FUEL

Enter the Fuel Type or select it from the drop-down box as setup in the Fuel Types table.

TANK CAPACITY

Enter the tank capacity to be set for the selected products for this Fuel Type.

ACTION

Select one of the following actions:

oClick 'Add If Not Set' to add this Fuel Type with this Tank Capacity to all products in the list that do not already have this Fuel Type assigned in their Product Fuel Types window.

oClick 'Add Or Change If Set' to add this Fuel Type with this Tank Capacity to all products in the list that do not already have this Fuel Type assigned in their Product Fuel Types window, and to also update the Tank Capacity on products that do already have this Fuel Type assigned.

oClick 'Remove' to delete this Fuel Type and Tank Capacity from the Product Fuel Types window for all products in the list.

Click ACCEPT to initiate the action or CANCEL to abort.
 Confirmation is required to update the batch of products.

Note: Fuel Types with Capacity can also be updated for Rental and Sales product by the Inventory Clean-Up export/import utility.
