TW - Assign Product Number

Texada Web Stand-Alone Menu -> TW - Assets -> ADD button -> TW - Add Assets -> Assign Product Number

This utility can be used to define the product number of the new Asset based on a Mask that uses the Group and Product Class, setup in the in the Company Inventory Parameters.

To add new Asset or Rental product using the Product Number Mask, the prompts are:

ASSIGN PRODUCT NUMBER Window

To manually assign a product number without using the Product Mask click CANCEL to exit this Assign Product Number window, and manually enter the product number in the Product Number field in FL- Add Assets

To use the Mask enter the information as follows:

MASK

. The mask format is displayed for information only as defined in Company Inventory Parameters.

GROUP

This prompt appears only when the Product Mask requires the Group to be part of the product #.
 Enter the appropriate group, or select it from the Group Search window.

PRODUCT CLASS

This prompt appears only when the Product Mask requires the Class to be part of the product #.
 Enter the appropriate class or select it from the Product Class Search window

When a combination of Product Class and Group is used in assigning new product numbers, Bulk Rental products are assigned the product number extension of 00.
 e.g. 9301-00, 3010-00, etc.

Finished?

Click ACCEPT to accept the product information to use in formulating the new product number, and return to the Add Asset screen.

Click CANCEL to exit this Assign Product Number window, and manually enter the product number.
