Export/Import Service Codes
Utilities Menu -> Data Export/Import Utilities -> Export/Import Service Codes
This utility can be used to update information in the Service Codes table by exporting the existing values and re-importing the modified values.
The action flow includes:
Select one of the following actions:
•Generate Worksheet:
Click Export option in the radio group to generate two spreadsheets with or without the existing values for the Service Codes as outlined in Service Code Export.
The two separate worksheets "Service Codes" and "Service Code Divisional Pricing" can be modified with the correct values and then saved to two separate tab-delimited text file on your client machine.
New Services Codes can be added on the "Service Codes" import.
Each text files can then be move from the client to the server individually using the Select a File to Upload utility by selecting the Upload Service and Upload Div Pricing options below.
The data Import is also done separately for the two files by selecting each of the Import Service and Import Div Pricing options in the radio group.
•Move the Saved Text File for the Service Codes to the Server:
Click Upload Service to copy the tab-delimited text file created from the saved Service Code Export from your client machine to the data directory on the server in preparation for importing.
The Select a File to Upload utility is used to search for the file and to rename it to "service_codes.txt" before completing the upload.
File upload success or failure is displayed.
•Move the Saved Text File for the Service Pricing by Division to the Server:
Click Upload Div Pricing to copy the tab-delimited text file created from the saved Service Code Export from your client machine to the data directory on the server in preparation for importing.
The Select a File to Upload utility is used to search for the file and to rename it to "div_pricing.txt" before completing the upload.
File upload success or failure is displayed.
•Update the Service Codes with the new Values:
Click Import Services to update the Service Codes with the new values as outlined in Service Code Import.
•Update the Div Pricing with the new Charges:
Click Import Div Pricing to update the "Divisions" window in Service Codes with the new pricing.
Divisional Pricing Import Error Conditions:
oService Code longer than 6 Characters
oDelete must be Y, N or Blank
oInvalid Division
oInvalid Service Code
oDivision does not exist to Delete
oDuplicate Service Code
Divisional Pricing records without errors can still be imported.
Confirmation is required.
•Exit 'Update Service Codes' sub-menu:
Click Cancel when no further action from this sub-menu is required.
Finished?
Click OK to initiate the action selected in the radio group.
