Model Inspection Form Export/Import


System Maintenance Menu -> Configure System Settings -> Operations Tab -> Inventory -> Make and Model List -> INSP EXPORT button -> Model Inspection Form Export/Import


This utility can be used to re-assign the Inspection Forms associated with the rental product 'Models' as maintained in the Make and Model List.

Select one of the following actions:

Create Model / Inspection Form Worksheet:
 Click Export option in the radio group to generate a spreadsheet with all Models that have been assigned Inspection Forms.

Resulting Spreadsheet:
 

oThe resulting spreadsheet lists each Model that has been assigned an Inspection Form, with the Form name, Form description and which of the four Inspection Types are applicable including Work Order, Inspection, Delivery and/or Pickup.

oValid Models with valid Forms can be added or deleted from the spreadsheet.

oInspection Types can be flagged Y or N.

oSave the completed spreadsheet as a tab-delimited text file on your client machine.

Move the Saved Text File to the Server:
 Click Upload File to copy the tab-delimited text file from your client machine to the data directory on the server in preparation for importing.
 The Select a File to Upload utility is used to search for the file and to rename it to "model_insp_form.txt" before completing the upload.
 File upload success is confirmed.

Update the Models with the new Inspection Values:
 Click Import to clear any existing Inspection Forms on Models in Make and Model List and to repopulate them with the newly assigned Inspection Forms.
 Confirmation is required that any existing Inspection Forms records will be cleared before the Models are updated with the new forms.

Exit 'Model Inspection Form Export/Import' sub-menu:
 Click Cancel when no further action is required.

Finished?

Click OK to initiate the action selected in the radio group.
