Spare Parts Export
System Maintenance Menu -> Configure System Settings -> Operations Tab -> Inventory -> Spare Parts List -> UPDATE button -> Spare Parts Export/Import -> Spare Parts Export
This export utility can be used to select the products to be updated with Spare Parts and to generate a spreadsheet with the existing Spare Parts for the sales or rental products in the selection range.
The prompts are:
Product Selection: Only one of the following four filters can be used to select the products for the worksheet export.
PRODUCT, 'ALL' OR 'SEL'
•Type ALL to include all products that have Spare Parts associated with them in Spare Parts List.
•Enter a specific product number to export only that product and its Spare Parts, or select the product from the Inventory Search window.
•Type SEL to select a combination of products to include as outlined in Select Products window.
CLASS, 'ALL' OR 'SEL'
•Type ALL to include products that have Spare Parts from all Product Classes,.
•Enter a specific Class to export only products with Spare Parts from a single Product Class, or select a Class from the Product Class Search window.
•Type SEL to select a combination of Product Classes to include as outlined in Select Class List window.
GROUP, 'ALL' OR 'SEL'
•Type ALL to include products that have Spare Parts from all Groups.
•Enter a specific Group to export only products with Spare Part from a single Product Group, or select a Group from the Product Group Search window.
•Type SEL to select a combination of Product Groups to include as outlined in Select Group List window.
SPARE PART, 'ALL' OR 'SEL'
•Type ALL to include all Spare Parts.
•Enter a specific Spare Part to export only products assigned that Spare Part, or select the Spare Part from the Inventory Search window.
•Type SEL to select a combination of Spare Parts to include as outlined in Select Products window.
Note: Other Spare Parts associated with those same products are not exported.
Finished?
Click ACCEPT to generate the spreadsheet or CANCEL to abort.
Resulting Spreadsheet:
•Product # (product to which the Spare Parts are to be assigned) and Description, Spares Part# (Sales or Rental) and Description, and Quantity of the Spare Part.
•A Delete column is provided which can be Y or blank, where a Y flag causes the product to be removed from the Spare Parts list on import.
•Modify the spreadsheet with the correct values.
•Additional Sales and Rental product numbers can be added to the worksheet with associated Spare Parts. Descriptions are not required as the descriptions already exist in the product file.
Save the Revised Data:
When the products with Spare Parts are updated on the worksheet, save the completed spreadsheet as a tab-delimited text file on your client machine, then use the Select a File to Upload utility to move the saved text file from your client to the server in preparation for re-importing the data.
