This utility provides the ability to update the status on a non-bulk product at Pickup or at the Rental Return.
It is triggered after non-bulk rental items have been picked up and the ticket is closed in Close Pickup Ticket if the option to Update Product Status at Pickup has been activated for the contract division in the Divisional Delivery/Pickup Parameters.
It is also triggered in Rental Returns if activated in the Divisional Return Parameters.

The Stop Auto Status Change For No Rent flag in the Divisional Return Parameters can also be set to prevent the product Status Code from being updated in Rental Return, and Exchange by Contract when the non-bulk rental product has a current status that does 'not allow rental'.

The prompts are:

SEQ
Each non-bulk rental product record is listed with a sequence number.

PRODUCT #
The non-bulk rental product numbers are listed from the Pickup Ticket or Rental Return.

UPDATE
Uncheck this box if the product status should not be updated and should retain the Old Code displayed.
Check this box if the product status should be updated to a New Code.

DESCRIPTION
The non-bulk product description is displayed.

OLD CODE
The current status code for the product is displayed.

NEW CODE
The default new code defined for the product in Auto Status Code Update By Product or in Auto Status Code Update By Group is displayed if relevant.
The New Code can be over-typed if required and a Product Status Code Search window is provided.
Only codes having the same depreciation permission flag as the current code, are valid for this product as setup in Product Status Codes.

Depending on the new status assigned, the product can temporarily be tagged as not available to be rented allowing time for service, or the new status can even cause a service Work Order to be generated as outlined in Status Code Actions By Group.
