Contact Social Media Types

Utilities Menu -> Data Export/Import Utilities -> Data Export/Import Contacts -> MEDIA TYPES button -> Contact Social Media Types

This table can be used to list the types of Social Media that your firm wants to track for your customer and vendor contacts in the Contact Information, such as:

An operator must be assigned a Security Role that allows permission to the Customer Management - Contact Social Media Types in order to access this table.

Enter a Media Type and a Description for each type of address that should be captured for customer and vendor contacts.
The first five Descriptions for the 'Social Media' records are then displayed as field headers on the Contact Information screen with space for the operator to enter the corresponding address or URL information.
Any additional Media Types can be accessed from the Contact Social Media MORE window.

Once an address or link is entered for the contact, the address can be called up in a browser directly from the Contact Information window.
e.g. www.texadasoftware.com

If no Social Media types are allowed the message that this feature is 'Not Configured' is displayed in the Contact Information window.
When a Social Media type is deleted from this table, it is also removed from every Contact record in Contact Information.
