DPL Data Tag Email Configuration


System Maintenance Menu -> DPL Configuration -> Data Tag Email Configuration

After the Gateway Configuration and the Notification Times have been setup, this screen can be used to define the specific Data Tags on the equipment that should trigger the alarm emails to be sent the service manager and to the site superintendents defined on the Contract.
i.e. Oil pressure low, Fuel low, Running to hot, etc.

Default Notes to be included on the email can also be entered for each notification level, that can be used to explain what action is required for the equipment.

Use the following configuration utilities to structure your firm's alert process:

CONFIGURATION
Select each of the following setup utilities in turn and in the following sequence:

When the Data Tags option is selected from the Configuration radio group, the following fields can be used to setup the alert trigger table that is used by the DPL monitoring the equipment:

SEQ
The sequence number tracks the data tag records in this table.

DATA TAG
Enter the Tag representing this alert, using up to 14 characters.
e.g. Fuel, Oil, etc

Note: The system defined Data Tag "Unidentified" is a catch-all tag used if an alert is to be emailed to a Tag that does not match the Tags in the list. This Tag record cannot be deleted.


DESCRIPTION
Enter the description of the alarm, using up to 30 characters.
e.g. Oil pressure too low.

NOTES
A window is provided to access sub-windows for each of the three Notification Levels of 'None', 'Reports Only', and 'Critical Care', to capture detailed notes about the action required on the equipment at that level of care.
These Notes are included in the alert emails sent to the service manager and to the site superintendents assigned on the Contract.
e.g. Oil pressure is critically low. Stop use of this equipment immediately and cool it down before adding oil.

# RETRIES
Enter the number of times this alert should be resubmitted to the email queue, if the email fails or "times out".
An Interface Error Log is maintained to review email errors, and the error log is also emailed to the address defined in the Gateway Configuration.

INTERVAL
Enter the number of minutes to wait between resending the same email, if the email has failed.

When the Data Tag information is complete click ACCEPT to accept the screen.
