DPL Division Setup

Setup
After the Gateway Configuration, Notification Times, Data Tags
and Notification Matrix have been setup,
this screen can be used to define the specific Division
Setup.
Separate Service Managers who should receive the alarms can be
assigned for each Division along with a
time off-set to ensure that the notification times are respected in
each division's time zone.
Use the following configuration utilities to structure your
firm's alert process:
- CONFIGURATION
- Select each of the following setup utilities in turn and in the
following sequence:
- Gateway Configuration - controls the
alarm processing frequency, timeout intervals, and error
emailing

Notification Times - setup for
notification codes to control when notifications get sent, and
defaults for Data Tags

Data Tags - defines individual alarm
codes retrieved by DPL with optional action notes to email, and the
email retry and interval values

Notification Matrix - groups the Data
Tags into categories or Levels that can be assigned to Service
Managers and Site Superintendents as Notify Levels

Division Setup - setup divisional equipment Service
Manager to receive alerts, with time offset for different time
zones
When the Division Setup option is selected from the
Configuration radio group, the following fields can be used
to customize the contacts and time zone by Division:
- SEQ
- The sequence number tracks the division records in this
table.
DIV
- When a division is added or deleted in the Division file, it is automatically updated in this
configuration table too.
Division records cannot be added or deleted directly to this setup
DPL table, but if a division does not use DPL Telematics no
information needs to be entered.
SERVICE MANAGERS
- Window in the Division record's Service Managers field
to record the contacts who should receive the alarms for equipment
in this division as follows:
- SEQ
- The sequence number tracks the manager records in this
table.
NAME
- Enter the appropriate Equipment Service Manager for this
Division who should receive these alerts.
EMAIL
- Enter the corresponding email address for the Name.
Email sent for DPL alerts are logged in the View
Email Log and DPL emails and errors can be traced in the
DPL Utilities utilities.
LEVEL
- Enter the alert level to email this division contact or select
it from the Notification Level Code Search
window.
DESCRIPTION
- The corresponding alert level description is displayed.
TAGS
- Window to view the Alarm Notification
Levels for each Tag.
This information defaults from the Data Tags setup in the
Notification Matrix and is display only when
the window is accessed from the Division Service Managers
screen.
TIME OFFSET
- This field can be used to set a negative or positive offset in
HOURS used to determine the notification times for this division,
to allow for a different time zone from the server.
This value represents the number of hours to add or subtract from
the standard server time.
Finished?
- When the Division Setup information is complete click
ACCEPT to accept the screen.
