Asset Tag Export
Utilities Menu -> Inventory
Control -> Update Asset Tags ->
EXPORT button -> Asset Tag Export
Only certain data values can be updated on the Asset Tag Details.
This export filter screen can be used to select the Rental Products
to be updated, and to generate a spreadsheet template listing the
values on the Fixed Asset Tags that can and cannot be updated for
each of the products.
The prompts are:

- DATE FORMAT
- Accept the date format default as defined for your company in
Company Information, or enter the
preferred format.
i.e. North America = mm/dd/yyyy , European = dd/mm/yyyy
PRODUCT TYPE
- Select one of the following filters:
- Click Bulk to only include rental products flagged as
bulk products in the Rental
Inventory.
- Click Non-Bulk to only include Non-Bulk Assets.
- Click All to include both Bulk and Non-Bulk Rental
Products.
Note: Rental product that do not have an associated Asset Tag with a quantity of one or greater will not
be included in the export.
Product Selection:
- One of the following two filters must be used to select the
Groups for the worksheet export.
- PRODUCT, 'ALL' OR 'SEL'

- Type ALL to include Tags for all Rental
Inventory that match the selected Product Type.
- Enter a specific product to export only tags for that Product,
or select a product from the Inventory
Search window.
- Type SEL to select a combination of Products to include as
outlined in Select Product List window.
CLASS, 'ALL' OR 'SEL'

- Type ALL to include products from all Rental Product Classes that match the selected
Product Type.
- Enter a specific Class to export only Tag data for products
from a single Product Class, or select a Class from the Product Class Search window.
- Type SEL to select a combination of Product Classes to include
as outlined in Select Class List
window.
GROUP, 'ALL' OR 'SEL'

- Type ALL to include rental products from all Groups that match the selected Product
Type.
- Enter a specific Group to export only Tag data for products
from that Group, or select a Group from the Product Group Search window.
- Type SEL to select a combination of Product Groups to include
as outlined in Select Group List
window.
Finished?
- Click ACCEPT to generate the spreadsheet or CANCEL to
abort.
Resulting Spreadsheet:
- The resulting spreadsheet lists the selected Rental Inventory with the values that can be
updated on the Asset Tag identified in the
column header, including:
Division
Original Cost
Accumulated Depreciation
Date Acquired
Depreciation Class
- Modify the spreadsheet with the correct values.
- The date format must match the format defined when the
worksheet was generated.
i.e. North America = mm/dd/yyyy , European = dd/mm/yyyy
- Additional existing Products with their existing Tags can be
added to the spreadsheet.
Do not modify Column A for the Product# or Column C for the Tag#
as although these columns are not re-imported, these values are
used to match the asset and tag in SRM.
Note: Blank fields on the import spreadsheet could remove data
and is controlled by the option to "Ignore Blank Values"
provided on the Asset Tag Import.
Save and Import the Revised Tag Data:
When the values are all updated on the worksheet, save the
completed spreadsheet to a tab-delimited ".txt" file on your
client machine.
Then from Update Asset Tags click on the
IMPORT button to move the saved file from your client
to the server using the Select a File to
Upload utility and import the data using Asset Tag Import.
