Card (with no Texada Pay)
Global Texada Pay Payment Methods -> Credit
Card/Debit/Electronic Check/Interac -> Select TP Method of Payment -> Select Card Type -> Scan Card
When Credit Card information is captured the card can be used to
charge the dollar amount or if the Prompt Auth Only For Credit
Card flag is set to YES in the Division
Miscellaneous Parameters the card can be used to only
pre-authorize the dollars.
Note: This Scan Card window is only triggered if the Texada Pay feature has NOT been activated.
The prompts are:

- AUTHORIZATION ONLY?
- This prompt is only triggered if:
- the customer is not eligible for Texada Pay (either TP is not
active or the customer's currency is different from the Company
currency)
- a positive dollar amount has been entered on a Credit Card for
a deposit
- the Prompt Auth Only For Credit Card flag is checked in
the Division Miscellaneous Parameters for
this document division
- the Methods of Payment is defined as
Card type S (Scan), Y (Yes to enter manually), M (Manual
Card entry) or A (device scan)
Click YES to use the credit card information ONLY
to confirm that the customer has sufficient credit, but not to
actually bill him for the dollar amount.
The record is tagged as an AU transaction and does not update the
Accumulated deposit for the document as no funds were taken.
Click NO to capture the credit card information
and bill the customer.
The record is tagged as an SA transaction as a payment was made and
it does update the Accumulated deposit for the document.
VOID AUTHORIZATION?
- This prompt is only triggered if:
- the customer is not eligible for Texada Pay (either TP is not
active or the customer's currency is different from the Company
currency)
- a NEGATIVE dollar amount has been entered on a Credit Card for
a deposit
- the Prompt Auth Only For Credit Card flag is checked in
the Division Miscellaneous Parameters for
this document division
- the Methods of Payment is defined as
Card type S (Scan), Y (Yes to enter manually), M (Manual
Card entry) or A (device scan)
Click YES to use the credit card information only
to Void a deposit trx with no actual refund of dollars.
The record is tagged as an VO transaction and does not update the
Accumulated deposit for the document.
Click NO to give a credit on the Credit Card to
refund the customer.
The record is tagged as an CR transaction which gives a credit and
reduces the Accumulated deposit for the document.
SCAN CREDIT CARD:
- This credit card scan window is then triggered to capture the
card information whether it is for Authorize Only or for an
actual payment.
Pass the credit card through the card reader, or skip this field
and manually enter the card number or select it from existing card
numbers for this customer in the window on the Manually Enter
Card Number field.
MANUALLY ENTER CARD NUMBER:
- If the credit card was not enter via card scanner, enter the
credit card number, or select a card # from the Credit Card Search / Electronic Payment window.
- NAME:
- If the credit card was not enter via card scanner or selected
from the window, enter the name from the credit card.
EXPIRY:
- Enter the expiration date from the credit card, as MMYY.
If the card # was selected from the window of existing cards, the
expiration date displays. If this date is over-type or updated, the
new date will be saved in Customer
Information.
If the date has expired, a warning will appear on the screen.
AUTHORIZATION #:
- If this card type requires manual authorization, enter the
appropriate authorization number.
AMOUNT:
- The amount to be charged or authorized on this card
displays.
Finished ?
- Click the ACCEPT button to complete the transaction or click
CANCEL to abort.
Storing Card Information:
When Texada Pay is not used and Credit Card
payments are taken the information is saved in Customer Credit Cards, and can be reviewed in the
Credit Card Inquiry including the masked
Card# where only the last 5 digits of the card are retained, the
Card Type, the Name on the Card, and the Expiry Date.
When Texada Pay is active Card &
Electronic Check information can only be captured in the Capture Card/Check on File to be saved in Customer Credit Cards.
