Specific pre-defined Contact titles can be assigned to each contact record in the Contact Information window of Customer Contact Information, Customer Information, Customer Site Information, and Vendor Information.
e.g. Owner, Bookkeeper, Manager, Accountant, Salesman, etc.
This utility can be used to define the list of Titles to help
identify and type these contacts.
A blank title code can be setup if your firm does not utilize
titles to categorize contacts.
New Titles can also be created when entered and imported from the
Export/Import Contacts utility.
An operator must be assigned a Security Role that allows permission to the Customer Management - Contact Titles in order to access this table.
Updating Title Names:
Titles can not be modified because the Title is the primary key in
the file.
If a Title needs to be changed, the title record needs to be
deleted and re-added correctly.
However a Title cannot be deleted if it has been assigned in the
Contact Information so it must be removed
from any associated Contacts, deleted from this table, re-added
correctly to this table and then re-assigned to the relevant
Contacts.
ACTIONS:
Additional actions provided by buttons on
the Contact Titles screen include:
Click on the DELETE button to trigger the
'DELETE CONTACT TITLE' pop-up.
Select the Title to delete from the drop-down list and click
DELETE.
If a Title is selected for deletion that is currently "in use",
a warning is triggered and the Title is not deleted.
A spreadsheet is automatically generated listing all the Source
Customers/Vendors with the Contacts that are assigned this
Title.
These Contacts need to be assigned a different Title before this
one can be deleted from the table.
